How I Operate

The best way to know me is to know how I work.

  1. I operate with ownership.
I don’t wait to be told what to do. Give me context, point me in the right direction and trust me to make progress.
  2. Speed Matters
What is expected to be done in a year, I have often delivered in a quarter. Fast execution is a strategic advantage.
  3. Can’t wait for full-context
Startups never have enough time, information or resources. Tell me what you know today. We’ll figure out the rest.
  4. I build systems, not dependencies.
If something is worth doing twice, it’s probably worth documenting, automating or turning into a process.
  5. I prefer clarity over politics.
Clear writing. Honest feedback. Difficult conversations early. Life’s easier that way.
  6. 1 quick huddle > 13 slack messages
I rely on written communication for bringing clarity to complex ideas, but will often choose the fastest mode of communication that allows me to make progress.
  7. I care about outcomes, not credit.
Titles don’t motivate me. Solving hard problems with good people does.
  8. I leave things better than I found them.
Better systems. Better documentation. Better teams. Better execution.
